Outdoor Planter Box

This one started with leftover lumber and a question — what happens if I just build a box and make it beautiful?

No commission. No client. Just me, some extra wood, and a can of cedar stain to see what it could become.

It's not just a box. The trim work around it is intentional. The finish is intentional. It adds something to a space — some warmth, some character, some decor that didn't exist before. It earns its spot on a porch or a patio instead of just sitting there.

That's what I keep coming back to with every build — take some lumber, dimensional or scrap, and ask what it could be. Not what it is. What it could be.

For you that might be a front porch statement piece. A garden planter. Something for a corner of your yard that needs a little life. The dimensions, the stain, the finish — all of that becomes yours.
