Engraved Shelf

She needed a shelf in her laundry room — custom fit between the washer, dryer, and wall. I measured the space, cut two pieces of pine down to size, added folding brackets, and stained it natural. But then I did something she didn't ask for. I took my Dremel and engraved her initials and her late wife's initials into the top of the board, then painted the inside of the letters with a toothpick and sealed it. She didn't ask for it. I just knew it needed to be there. That's the whole idea.
